Kittens’ Birthday Party
Pink at three o’clock,
Curtains like blueberry-flavored cotton candy.
Two kittens bustled about,
Preparing a birthday party for their dearest friend.
“You’re here!” “I’m here!”
They bit their little fingers, eyes crinkling with smiles.
The little chef baked a beautiful cake,
The calico kitten gently lit the candles.

The birthday kitten held flowers and whispered a wish.
“Miao miao miao—”
They softly sang the song only the three knew.
Cherries fell onto skirts,
Moonlight rippled in teacups.
The town slept quietly,
Only their dreams tinkled through the night.
