Hide-and-Seek
A tiny leaf gently cups a cheek,
A kitten hides itself quietly on spring grass.
Don’t let anyone see—
They’re playing a game.
Their skirts are petals of yellow roses,
Their paws dance to the wind’s melody,
Flickering, flickering, becoming a speck of memory in the grass.
They hide behind leaves,
Their cheeks blushing shyly like evening clouds,
Spring, quietly,
Breathing in the palms of their hands.

These three kittens can also be interpreted as: Do not look at what is improper, do not speak of what is improper, do not listen to what is improper.
